Silvector documentation
Decisions you can check
Built for the hardest cases. Made for everyone.
Silvector decides what to do with each request from software and people, signs a receipt for every decision, and grades the evidence behind it on a six-rung continuum. Start with the job in front of you, or with your role.
Start with a job
Slow down automated card testing at checkout without declining real customers.
Rungs 2Let AI shopping agents buy safelyAdmit agents that can show who they are and who they act for, and step up before money moves.
Rungs 2, 3, 5Show an auditor what your policy didHand over records an auditor can check without trusting you or Silvector.
Rungs 0, 1Check whether this is AI without accusing anyoneGet an honest signal, understand what it cannot tell you, and protect the person on the other side.
Rungs 3, 4, 5Build a distillation or impersonation case that holds upCollect, preserve and present a distillation or impersonation case so another expert can check every step.
Start with your role
Agents hit login, checkout and APIs. You cannot tell good from bad, and a block-only bot vendor cannot explain itself.
Rungs 2, 3Fraud and trust leadAccount takeover, card testing, scalping and promo abuse now run through agentic tooling.
Rungs 2Head of growth and e-commerceAI shopping agents are a new channel, and it is being blocked without anyone deciding to block it.
Rungs 2Platform and SRE leadScraping and agent load cost money, and the rules that manage it are noisy and unexplained.
Rungs 2, 3, 5Product, legal and complianceContent licensing, training scrapers, the EU AI Act and audits all ask what your policy actually did.
Rungs 2AI agent buildersGood bots want a reliable, signed way in instead of being guessed at.
Rungs 4Frontier lab trust and safety, and model ownersUnauthorized distillation, model extraction, account farms and espionage.
Rungs 5Investigators, law enforcement and litigatorsDeepfake impersonation, fraud rings and evidence that must survive a court.
Rungs 3Newsrooms and platform integritySynthetic media and coordinated campaigns, with the risk of a wrongful takedown on the other side.
Rungs 0, 1Educators, HR and everyday usersYou want to know whether something is AI without wrongly accusing a real person.
The detection continuum
The same question, "was this made or done by AI, and how sure can we be?", carries different stakes at each rung. Every receipt and decision in these docs shows its rung, so a hunch is never presented as a finding.
A verified receipt in ten minutes
One request returns a decision and a signed receipt. Each quickstart then verifies the signature against the published key set with standard cryptography, and shows that a changed receipt no longer verifies. CI runs all four quickstarts against the real API on every change to these docs.

-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"method":"GET","path":"/pricing"}'

Concepts
Eight terms, each with a definition, the invariants that hold and the test that checks them, and what is out of scope.
The accountable human or organization on whose authority something acts.
AgentSoftware that sends requests, on its own or for a principal, and may carry a signature claim.
DelegationThe on-behalf-of chain that binds an agent to a principal for a scoped task.
EvidenceRecords that let someone else check a claim, graded by how much weight they can bear.
DecisionThe outcome a policy gives one request, with the rule and the facts behind it.
ReceiptA signed record of one decision that anyone can check offline.
PolicyThe rules and flag state that turn a request into a decision, identified by hash.
TenantThe isolation boundary: one organization's policies, receipts and data.
How to read these docs
Every demo and example says how real it is.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| LIVE | Produced just now by the real service, from your browser. |
| REPLAY | Real output recorded earlier, shown again. The recording date is shown with it. |
| SIMULATED | Synthetic data made for a demo. It describes no real customer or event. |
